MEF’s Global Carrier Billing & Mobile Payments Summit returns – with Cookies Digital bringing Champions League icon Clarence Seedorf as special guest

The Mobile Ecosystem Forum’s Global Carrier Billing & Mobile Payments Summit returns to Amsterdam on the 9th and 10th September, and will feature footballer Clarence Seedorf in conversation with esports expert Leone Crescenzi of Cookies Digital.

Clarence Seedorf is one of the greats of football. He is the only player in football history to have won the Champions League with three different clubs – Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan twice.

Together Seedorf and Crescenzi will explore the intersection between gamers and athletes, highlighting the latest innovations, and those planned for the future, in gaming and esports products. The session will explore the importance of repetition for mastering skills, illustrating how this principle drives excellence both in sport and beyond. Crescenzi will present the most recent Cookies’ product launches, including the ATP Tour Goldenpass and the Serie A Livestream Pass, demonstrating how these offerings continue to enhance engagement for fans and players alike. He will also unveil upcoming innovations in gaming and esports, showcasing new features and products designed to further boost engagement and expand Cookies’ customer base, and increase value proposition for mobile carriers.

The theme for this year’s Global Carrier Billing & Mobile Payments Summit is “From Reach to Revenue: Aligning Operators, Advertisers and Content Providers for the next chapter of Mobile Payments” and the event will bring together mobile network operators, advertisers, media buyers, content providers, gaming creators, esports, regulators, and technology platforms to explore the strategies driving revenue, engagement and compliance, plus how partnerships and innovation are shaping the future of carrier billing.

From acquisition and engagement to compliance and monetisation, the agenda will spotlight the entire consumer journey — and how aligning commercial and regulatory interests can unlock sustainable growth across diverse markets.

Mobile Network Operators throughout the UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East will meet to share knowledge, showcase regional successes and tackle the challenges surrounding DCB and Mobile Payments in more than twenty markets.
